分離技術實驗室長期致力於生物資源高值化、綠色科技及永續發展的研究，近年來研究多以物理技術作為分離的主要手段，針對生質能源做系統化的低汙染開發利用，例如利用非食用油轉酯化製備生質柴油、各種植物油分離純化技術、小分子蛋白液製備方法以及各項相關技術開發等。

在鍾財王特聘教授的帶領之下更於2015年設立生物資源產業高值化推動中心，透過在印尼的豐富成功經驗，擴大推廣台灣生物質及其廢棄物資源化暨高值化技術境外推廣應用，以中心組織積極整合平台資源，推動生物資源產業高值化，提供生物資源國際產學合作服務。

Separation Technology Laboratory (STL) has long been committed to the research of high-valued of bio-resources, green technology, and sustainable development. In recent years, research has mostly used physical technology as the main methods of separation, and systematic low-pollution development and utilization of biomass energy. For example, “Preparation of biodiesel by transesterification of non-edible oil”, “Separation and purification technology of vegetable oil”, “Method for preparing small molecular protein liquid”, as well as the various development of related technology.

Under the leadership of Prof. Chung Tsair-Wang, Center for High-Value Bioresource Industry Promotion (HVIP) was established in 2015 to expand the promotion overseas of high-valued technology for biomass and its waste in Taiwan through our rich experience in Indonesia. The HVIP center organization actively integrates platform resources, promotes the high-valued of the bioresource industry, and provides international industry-academia cooperation services for bio-resources.
